What are Brewster Window/TFP products

Brewster Window/TFP products are an uncoated substrate that forms a Brewster angle with the beam in the optics at which the reflectivity for p-polarization drops to zero. The Brewster window transmits substantially all p-polarized light while reflecting most of the s-polarized component. For a ZnSe Brewster window, 50% of s-polarized incident light is reflected for each surface it passes through. Using a Brewster window in the laser cavity, a polarized laser output can be generated.

Brewster Window/TFP products

Brewster Window/TFP products utilize the total reflection property of the material. When light is incident at a specific incident angle (called the Brewster angle of the material), the S polarization component of the incident light is partially reflected, while the P component is nearly completely transmitted. Brewster Window/TFP products are suitable for applications where linearly polarized light is obtained.

There are many parameters of Brewster Window/TFP products. From project requirements to confirmation of industrial lens parameters, a conversion process is required. It is often a more efficient way to clarify the concept of industrial lens parameters and understand what changes the common parameters of industrial lenses have on the results, so as to select the appropriate Brewster Window/TFP products.
