Optical materials are generally divided into amorphous, crystalline and organic plastics. Different materials have their applicable spectral range and different physical properties (expansion coefficient, density, hardness, etc.). Common materials in amorphous state are Meniscus Znse Lens products, infrared glass, laser glass. This kind of material has the characteristics of mature manufacturing process and complete varieties and prices. Among them, colorless optical glass is mainly a composite product formed by doping SiO2 with other elements, mainly for the 400-1000 nm light band. The main characteristics that distinguish it from other glasses are that it has a certain refractive index and dispersion. Internationally, it is basically divided into coronal optical glass (K) and flint optical glass (F) according to these two parameters. Coronal Meniscus Znse Lens products refer to lower refractive index and larger Abbe number; flint optical glass has higher refractive index and lower Abbe number.

K9 glass is most commonly used in general scientific research fields. It has moderate performance, good material processing performance and relatively cheap price. Therefore, it is the first choice for Meniscus Znse Lens products and the base material for many coated components. The other is fused silica JGS1, which is widely used in high-power lasers due to its good stability and small thermal expansion coefficient, but its price is also relatively expensive, especially when the size is large.
In general, when light from one substance enters a different transmitting substance, 5% of the light will be reflected. In a complex optical system, due to the existence of many Meniscus Znse Lens products and refractors, the overall transmittance of the entire system can only be 50% or lower.
Therefore, people coat the surface of Meniscus Znse Lens products with a single-layer anti-reflection coating (generally MgF2) or a multi-layer anti-reflection coating. The single-layer anti-reflection coating can reduce the reflection to 1.5%, and the multi-layer anti-reflection coating can reduce the reflection to 1.5%. The rate is as low as 0.25%, which can greatly improve the optical transmittance of this system in a specific wavelength band.
The Meniscus Znse Lens products can usually be judged by the color reflected on the lens. The lens coated with a single antireflection coating is usually blue-violet or red, and the lens coated with a multi-layer antireflection coating is light. Green or dark purple.
